Yes, grey can be boring, grey can also be plain, but grey can also make you ooze classic chic, without looking like you tried to hard.
So colour from my eyes began to drain and what was a woman who was obsessed with colour decided to live a day in black and white.
The cold, wet and windy the day before didn't stop us from having a picnic and beach trek the day after!
With that said, we were really grateful that the sun came out, which made it noticeably warmer.
But why is there a large Rubik's cube behind me!? Well this was a unique attraction from this beach, so needless to say I had to make the most of it for these nice shots my boyfriend did! ^___^
The jumper I'm wearing was previously an old jumper that was not very stylish. However, I stumbled upon a youtube video that gave a super simple yet smart idea - cut your jumpers!
If you'd like to do your own cropped jumper check out this link!
We spent most of our time at the picnic area, so it was getting pretty dark by the time we were climbing around the beach. You can really see how dark it is in this Instagram photo compared to these ones here.
Hey guys! Isn't this skirt just so cute and pretty!? This is probably the best skirt I've ever had (so far =P), and the colour combo is amazinggg. It feels so magical, like a unicorn haha. I was going to pair it with a tight, black sheer long sleeve top but adding this peach lace top felt right, especially for an all girls 21st birthday party.
This outfit felt sweet like candy to me, hence the name!
The two other photos above were actually a combo of previous instagram posts for the night. I was really lucky to spend last night out at the harbour, with the Sydney Harbour Bridge as our background. A Gazillion Dollar view, that's what it was. We were all mentioning how gorgeous the location was! These heels are also my comfiest ones since they're open toe and not too high.
How were your weekend's been? Have you had many birthdays lately? (April seems to be so popular for births!)
With this outfit, my family and my boyfriend joined me to watch what I thought was the best experience I've had in my life so far. We watched the Lion King Theatre performance, something that I was very eager to watch for a while. As a birthday gift, my mum and my sister surprised me on my 21st with this amazing present. It was so wonderful, because not only had they sung beautifully, but their portrayal of the cartoon, whilst having such a small space, was portrayed amazingly.
I wish I could relive last night.
Now, remember I was talking about not purchasing clothing for a period of time? Well I'm actually trying it out! I haven't specifically put a time limit on myself, but I guess by bank account is enough to limit me, haha =P
BUT, I've noticed that I have SIGNIFICANTLY reduced my online shopping time (i.e. 3 hours per day, LOL). Instead, I've been doing things that enrich my life, such as reading books, spending time with my family and such. I'm not joking!
So the best thing I can say to you, is to try it out! I'm pretty sure it can only do you good! ^__^
Hey guys I'm back! Sorry about the long gap, it's actually quite hard to take photos by getting someone else to do it than yourself in terms of convenience. But luckily I had a few outings to sneak some photography in!
Here I'm wearing this awesome diamante ear cuff with my simple girly outfit for a saturday night out. I just kept the colours simple, especially since it wasn't my birthday, and I just got the bag to match the shoes pretty much =).
Something that I have recently been thinking of is to go on a Shopping Hibernation. Say what? Well what I'm saying is that I'm thinking of cutting off purchasing items of clothing until the end of the year. What made me come to this idea was that I've realised how materialistic my lifestyle can get. When I see a really hot item of clothing I feel as if it would benefit my life if I purchase it. Sound familiar? Haha.
I feel as though life should be focused on the more important things, such as health, bonding with loved ones, and using that money to hang out and enjoy being young. The time I spend window shopping online is pretty silly too. I waste a lot of it from looking at clothes.
That said, I'm not saying I will stop dressing up! But I am keen on styling myself creatively with the items I have, rather than opting for more. It's not like my wardrobe isn't full already kakaaa.
This was inspired by a Style blogger I saw who had achieved this last year since they claimed they were too much of a shopaholic. So I'm going to have a serious think about this challenge!
